His work was competent; his firm's scheduling was not. I was promised that he would come between 9-12 on Friday. He did not. When I called I was promised he would come after 2:30. He did not. I called at 4:45 in a panic because my Wife was due to come home the following Tuesday and it would be impossible to get her upstairs without the stair climber. At that point it appeared, from the comments of the lady on the electrician's phone, that they were not even sure of my address. Sometime around 5:45 p.m. Friday it was promised he would appear Sunday at 10 a.m. He did appear Sunday around 10:30 a.m. I did mention the problems caused by his non-appearances. His response did indicate that he was at all concerned. The fact is, I was concerned. Having the stair climber in place and working was essential and the emotional drainage on me was immense, not to mention the effect on my wife. From the comments I received from the electrician and the lady answering his telephone my surmise is that the problem was over-booking without regard to the actual time needed to complete the Friday program. I am fine with honest mistakes. I am fine with unforeseen emergencies. What I am not fine with is an attitude which tells me, at least in my understanding, to "take it or leave it."”
