In less than two weeks the two installers came and put together a very sturdy and safe deck and ramp with railings. They checked and rechecked all the joints. On a good note, a tech was almost immediately dispatched to my home to repair a problem. What I wasn't told was that my Stairlift is now out of warranty + I was not informed that there would be a "Service Charge" nor how much it would be UNTIL I received a phone call right at 5pm the day of this service requesting payment. This should have been handled much better than it was, I should have been told of what to expect prior to getting off the Request for Service Call. I am now praying that this fix holds or I will be forced to call back in to order some type of major component, which I am assuming I will be responsible for paying for since my Lift is out of warranty, or possibly ordering a new seat altogether. Your salesman was knowledgeable and had some helpful ideas, but it turned out that he overpromised on delivery and installation of the unit, setting up an expectation that your company could not meet. When he came to the house on 9/18 it appeared that we could have the unit by 9/28. It took an extra day for someone to get back to me once I indicated that I wanted to go ahead with the order and that further delayed placing the order. While we had been told 3 days to manufacture and 3 days to ship, once the order was placed and we asked about an installation date the story became 3 to 5 days to manufacture and 3 to 5 days to ship, overall pushing out the installation a week and a half beyond what we initially were given to expect. We had to reschedule Dr. appointments. After we had been given a firm installation date of 10/8 I received a phone call saying that the date was "tentative" and asking to confirm. I was concerned that the firm date I had been promised was not "firm" on your schedule. The installers were about an hour late on 10/8 and when they showed up they were not prepared to do the job. When they arrived I indicated concern about the work being completed that day and was told they would "do their best" but might not finish. I insisted that it be completed on the promised date, since we had moved Dr. appts and needed to get out of the house on 10/9. They were unaware that they needed to construct a fascia and did not have tools appropriate to removing the stairs or cutting wood. They left for an hour to get tools, then left again after removing the stairs to get wood materials. So the work did not begin in earnest until almost 1:00. The installers did finish and did a good job, with the help of a third technician who joined them about 4 pm. So, while the finish was strong, the process was difficult and I think there were communication issues all the way along. If I were to recommend your company I would caution people about that. A side thought and another concern I had about your culture - you may want to look at safety issues for your installers - they did not use gloves, safety glasses or any other PPE while doing the work, even though there are inherent risks in using power tools and handling large, heavy equipment.”

At no point was I informed that I would lose usage to my vehicle once installed. I was not educated on this via the phone consultation nor when the installers arrived. The cover to my hidden compartment across the back of my SUV had been removed. Also, I was going to lose permanent usage of my 3rd row. Had this been explained to me, I would not have chosen this lift. I would have opted for an outside lift. Mike did not try to work with me and really acted as if it were my fault. I only gave the green light based on what I was told. I was told the scooter would fit and the mount was on the side wall of the vehicle. When I pointed out the faults in the process, I was told I had to pay the 400 restock fee. That's 400 dollar out of my pocket and I still need a scooter life. I feel that I was taken advantage of without support. I was concerned about there being an error when the lift arrived because no one had seen my vehicle. The office manager assured me they would work with me. All I received was attitude from Mike and there is nothing else we can do. I'm so disappointed. I researched other companies in the area but ultimately went with you all because of the prompt responses. The customer service did a 180 once I had the lift removed due to the issues above.”
