However, I did want to take a moment to comment on my experience with 101Mobility. It started with me doing research on acquiring a stair lift for my elderly parents. I reviewed a variety of companies online and then settled on three to contact and collect estimates. The first never responded to my messages, the second was 101mobility. Michelle answered the phone and was very pleasant and forthcoming on the various offerings. She also provided me a general estimate over the phone which I appreciated. The final company (Interstate) did not want to provide a general estimate and wanted to come out to review and then provide one. I wanted to do my diligence in comparing prices so I agreed. We picked the day and I specifically said that there will be no one there until after 11:30. The person said that was fine and the tech would call in the morning to verify the time. The day comes and I get a call 9:00 am from the tech saying they are 15 minutes away. I said nope because there is no one there until after 11:30 which he replied that he would be on the other side of town at that point. I said that was fine because they just made up my mind not to use them. I then called back and spoke with Andrew and scheduled the day to review products and get official measurements. Andrew shows up looking clean and professional. It may seem inconsequential but it is not. I cannot tell the number of times I am annoyed in dealing with an estimate and the person comes in the house looking they just came off a job and stinks. We settled on the model and date of installation. The installation date comes and the tech shows up in a clean vehicle and once again, looking clean and professional, like they care how they appear in someone's home. I do not remember the tech's name but he did a great job. The installation was surprisingly quick. The final product looked clean, cord tacked down and it looked like it came with the house. It has a great clean profile and the neutral color would work anywhere. The tech then took the time to test and review the operation of the lift with us. He was pleasant and patient. Andrew came later to collect the payment since my parents insisted on paying cash. The three of us counted out the payment and then they left. The next part that surprised me was Andrew called later to inform we counted wrong and gave them an extra hundred dollars and he would stop by to drop it off. I would not have even know if he kept it. It really made a strong statement on the quality of people employed by the company. I will highly recommend 101mobility to anyone that asks and relate the great experience I had. In an era of companies pushing self-service, I still appreciate a company that takes the extra effort to provide quality customer service and attention to detail. It was bolted to the stairs and didn't have to use the wall for added support. Really liked that. I have a door at the top of the stairs and the other companies said that they would have to block the door for theirs to work. One company said their chair lift would keep me from opening my front door all the way. Andrew came in and five-ten minutes later he explained how it would be installed and it didn't block the doors. Which was a relief to me. 101 had the unit in stock and two day later it was installed. The others it was a two week wait. My wife uses it all day and she really likes it. Very quite and it's a smooth ride.”

First, the installers had to spend hours fixing a glitch in the glide because there were some rough spots in the ride, and a few minor bumps still remain. This is clearly a design fault of the manufacturer. For a $15,000 stair glide the ride should be smooth from top to bottom. Second, the five-second delay between pushing on the joy stick and having the chair move up or down is a major annoyance. I realize that this is supposed to be a safety feature, but the customer should be given some choice as to how long this delay is. The joy stick I received seems to be designed for the deluxe chair and not the regular chair. This is another annoyance. Since the regular chair only goes up or down a joystick is not needed. A simple toggle switch would have been easier to manipulate and more convenient.”

The second and most disturbing action was not being informed that our battery was at it's life limit. The day after your tech's visit the chair stopped working altogether. So by my wanting to maintain the equipment it ending up costing over $200+ for the checkup that didn't reveal anything and another $100+ for a battery. I couldn't give you less of a score because you have a very friendly staff and you do provide quick service. We just weren't prepared for such a large bill.”

I found water marks on my wall near where the track was installed. The installation was on July 16th 2021. I had taken photos of the stairwell and the floor where they set up there tools on July 13th 2021. to have before and after photos. (The photos are dated in my phone) Looking at the before photos there is NO Damage of any kind in that area! I texted them to the 101 Mobility office. I was told by Dave the owner that this has never happened in 11 years. It's hard to believe because it happened at my house! Also the lubricant used on the metal gears was applied incorrectly! Dave said it should have been applied using your finger. They applied it with the tube with the tip up. I am not sure if any of the lubricant got on the gears at all. Doing it that way it wouldn't have been very effective. I want someone out here to make sure the unit was installed correctly and check the gears and something needs to be done about my hardwood floor!! The damage is in my front hall foyer!!! My floor was in very good condition until now!! At this point I am very disappointed!!”
