Frequently Asked Questions

We offer a free in-home assessment to measure your staircase and recommend the right solution. Yes, we install custom curved stairlifts for 90-degree and 180-degree turns, intermediate landings, and the multi-story layouts common in Cary, Wake Forest, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Straight rails fit most simple runs. Outdoor stairlifts cover porch and entry stairs.

New stairlifts start roughly at $4,500, depending on staircase length, straight vs curved rail, landings, and options. Used straight stairlifts can start around $2,900 when available. Rentals are offered for straight models. Call (919) 642-4078 for a free assessment and a quote for your home.

Medicare and most private insurance plans typically do not cover stairlifts. We do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide a detailed invoice if you want to submit for reimbursement. We help families explore NC CAP/C and CAP/D, VA HISA / Special Adaptive Housing, and Preserving Home when those programs may apply. Ask during your free assessment.

Most straight stairlifts install in a few hours once the unit is on site. Curved models take longer because the rail is fabricated to your staircase. Custom curved timelines are confirmed at your free assessment.

No permanent structural damage. The rail mounts to the stair treads with small screws, not the walls. If the stairlift is removed later, only minor, repairable holes remain in the treads.
