“We needed a wheelchair lift installed in our garage for my husband. I researched various companies, and on the recommendation of my neighbor, as well as reading excellent reviews, I decided to contact 101 Mobility in Bensalem, PA. I quickly received a response and set up an appointment. Andrew and his assistant came to our house and explained our options, took measurements, and laid out the outlines of the choices so I could visualize the space.… Andrew was very patient and knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, and spent a significant amount of time at our home, but I never felt pressured to make a decision or purchase anything before I was ready. After doing more research and discussing our options, my husband and Indecided on the FlexStep, a staircase that converts to a platform lift and then back to a staircase. The carpenter, Steve, and his assistant removed our existing wooden stairs and raised and reconfigured the landing and railing specifically to accommodate the FlexStep. Then, the technicians, Tyler and Jorge, installed the stair/lift and took extra time to make sure everything was exactly right. Everyone whom I encountered for this project was skilled, courteous, and patient. At every step, Andrew contacted me to make sure that I was satisfied and knew the time schedule and what to expect. During each phase, everyone was on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up everything before they left. Within three weeks, the project was completed ahead of schedule. “Asked the GM a Month ago, to have the Handi Free Curb Representative, Stop by to discuss, Obstruction Sensors. 12/17/25. The Local Sales representative contacted me, however, nothing happened. She would not return my calls. I would Recommend Dismissing her. It appeared something was amiss, since I felt that I was being stonewalled, by the local management, & the UK Manafacturer, even though Obstruction Sensors are Required by Federal… Law. It took a long time and a long dive into AI, to find that Free Curve had Obstructions Sensors, that worked in both Directions. My interest started when my chair lift ran into a closed door, installed for Air Conditioning Reasons. It seems that because the Obstruction Sensor was negotiating a tight turn, and the door was located on the First Step, resulted in the Mishap. No fault of the Obstruction Sensors that work both Directions. Totally my Fault. In retrospect, I hope the Manufacturer will discuss the Obstruction Sensors in their Literature. This is a Fine Product. They should be Proud ! I want to thank Dave Meyers and the entire Mobility 101 Team for their Patience in dealing with an 81 year old.
