The lift does not need mechanics below the first floor or above the second floor ceiling. We like that it is visually open all around. We chose the half door, so we would not feel claustrophobic. We would highly recommend this lift to anyone who needed to avoid climbing the stairs. We very often use the lift as a "Dumb Waiter" to move things from one floor to another, with the two remote controls. Service has always been very prompt and professional. We would rather Not have our name shared, but would be happy to show the lift to others, with a Stiltz representative.”

The workers made sure all our furniture and belongings were protected by their covers before construction started. The workers made sure our stairs were covered with a protective cover. The carpentry work completed is "drop the mic" perfect. Walking into our house, a guest would not notice this new closet because the entire elevator shaft blends into the house design perfectly.   • “You weren't the first contact I had for interest in a Stiltz lift. After driving all the way across town to meet with "another" contractor he called to tell me he couldn't meet ( and I was just 5 minutes away at this point. Well trust is an important part of an expensive business deal such as this and under no circumstance was I going to give this person another try after standing me up from the get-go. I contacted a Stiltz representative and asked him if there was another contractor in my area, anyone except this other company. That is when I heard about 101 Mobility for the first time. Hint: You might want to consider getting more web exposure because your company never did show up under my initial search efforts. I quickly got a call and an appointment was setup to discuss what I wanted but this time the meeting would be at my house. "Christian", the company president, showed up right on time, answered all my questions, and had valuable suggestions concerning my needs (a Stiltz Alta Trio Thru-Car) was I had my sights set on and that is what I got. It's the only model that can accommodate a wheelchair. A soon as the lift was received by 101 Mobility they set a date for installation. For such a large undertaking, the project steadily progressed. All of the craftsmen were professionals and it was clear that they knew their business. Christian isn't just the "big wheel" at his company, he is also very hands-on. As you can imagine, every job they do is customized to some extent. The house layout is different, lift models vary, etc. In my case, the lift wasn't going to go thru the lower level ceiling into a room above - the normal method I'm told. Instead it would go up from my foyer to an upstairs landing and the railing banister would have to be cut and a gate put in. This presented it's own challenges (not the least of which was safety) but they already had it planned out and the install went mostly smoothly - trust me, in a job like this there is always going to be a minor glitch or two. The important thing is how it is handled when it happens. This is what happened to me: Only a few hours after the job was finished, a Friday evening, I discovered a small glitch. I emailed Christian and explained the problem. He immediately got back to me and indicated he would be here the next day himself ( a Saturday) to take a look. Again he showed up when he said he would and he fixed the problem and genuinely seemed embarrassed that it happened. This is the kind of contractor you want - not one who makes empty promises and doesn't stand by their work. Another example that saved me quite a bit of money. I had no idea that if a doctor writes a prescription for a lift, it can save you the cost of sales tax. In my case, the lift is for my elderly mother whom I am caring for, and she is on medicare. Well, Medicare won't cover any cost of the lift, that burden is all on me. But 101 Mobility, early on, suggested I get the Rx and they would waive the sales tax. We did and they did. Wow!”

We were told that if the first service call needs a part that has to be ordered because it is not on the truck, the return installation visit will be another equal charge. Checked with another Bruno dealer nearby who will not service what they did not install and they said thus is a ripoff. If you would adjust this to something reasonable we would recommend you. The installer told us he wasn’t going to wear a mask, but after we told him he’d have to wear one or leave he did. I still saw him often wearing it below his nose. He ended up doing a good job. My biggest concern is that every contractor I’ve had in my home since COVID came wearing a mask, and for your employee state he wouldn’t, and then to often not wear it right is just very disappointing. Not taking COVID-19 seriously is something I don’t understand any company doing in this day and age. In fact when it’s time for the removal of our system I request another employee please.”

  • “I must admit I'm somewhat disappointed on 2 counts. First, the initial meeting with Aaron turned out to be less informative than what I needed to make a good decision. A much better illustration of how much the final product would stick out on the walking area was not made clear. If I could do it again I would have mounted the chair on the opposite side allowing for a turn to take place on the bottom of the stairs instead of the rail protruding out in the walkway as it does. Second, I brought up the issue to Aaron that I didn't want it to be mounted to my tile floor and he made be believe that this wouldn't be a problem. Then when he shows up to install it he said they had to drill at least 2 holes in my tile to secure the bottom brace. I should have pulled the plug on the deal right then. You guys have to fabricate a better way to stabilize the bottom bracket without permanently damaging floor tile. When I remove the stair lift in a couple of years can I count on you to pay the cost for replacing my tile? And finally, Aaron's helper was annoying and jokes not funny. -- And why doesn't your "change my score" button work. Make that a "6".”
