Barnhardt Helps a “Soldier’s Wish” Come True

Keith Barnhardt, the owner of 101 Mobility in Fayetteville and Virginia Beach, helped make a holiday wish come true by installing a stair lift for a soldier’s wife in Fayetteville. The lift was donated by Virginia non-profit Soldier’s Wish.

“Shoot for the Moon” Donation

Truly an entrepreneur in every sense of the word, Martha Callie, a young woman with cerebral palsy, received a complete stair lift donation from 101 Mobility in Lexington, Kentucky.

The Christmas donation will allow Martha the ability to expand her doggie-treat microbusiness, Shoot for the Moon Animal Treats. “It was a great experience for us,” said Justin Murdock, owner of 101 Mobility in Lexington. “They truly are a wonderful family.”

101 Mobility Lands on the Cover of Franchise Business Review, Named “Top Franchise for Veterans”

Franchise Business Review, a national franchisee satisfaction market research firm, announced in November that 101 Mobility was one of the “Top 100 Franchises for Veterans.”

The publication also featured Bob, Michael, and Jim Sok, the owners of 101 Mobility in Jacksonville, right on the cover.

“Get Marty” Liftkar Donation

101 Mobility in Pittsburgh teamed up with CBS TV program “Get Marty” to provide mobility equipment (a Liftkar) for a 7-year-old special needs child.

“When I showed it to the family, his mother’s eyes lit up,” Greg Slepecki, the owner of 101 Mobility in Pittsburgh, remembered. “Prior to having a Liftkar, Jeremy’s sister Faith would have to carry her brother down the stairs every day to the school bus. As he was getting bigger and bigger, it just kept getting harder for her to do.”

For the second time, Inc. Magazine recognized 101 Mobility as one of the fastest-growing companies on the Inc. 5000 list.

Chicago Supermom’s Lift Donation

Make-A-Wish Illinois reached out to Nick Lopez, owner of 101 Mobility in Chicago, to provide a incline lift donation to five-year-old Marlin White.

Marlin’s mother, who for three years had to carry her son up and down the stairs each day, said, “It’s so much safer, and it’s such an easier transfer process. I’m so thankful for everything.”

101 Mobility Provides Accessibility for 2 PGA Events

When it came to making sporting events accessible this year, 101 Mobility was the leader in the clubhouse.

Providing wheelchair access for the PGA’s BMW Championship in September, as well as the Web.com Tournament in October, 101 Mobility franchises in Jacksonville and Chicago installed vertical platform lifts to abide by ADA regulations at each event.

The first-ever Presidential Cabinet Members were honored at 101 Mobility’s Conference in June.

The members include Jeff and Lisa Franklin (of Cleveland), Gordon and Jennifer Raney (of Dallas), and Dave Myers (of Philadelphia) – 101 Mobility’s top 3 franchises throughout the nation.


Halloween’s Codington Parade

Always a company favorite, Wilmington’s 4th Annual Codington Parade featured amazing wheelchair-friendly Halloween costumes, hand-made by 101 Mobility’s corporate employees.

This year’s designs included a Minnie Mouse car, Lightning McQueen, Glenda The Good Witch, and even a “Harley Dude.”
