101 Mobility Honored With 2016 Max! Awards by the Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association

101 Mobility receives awards for “Best Social Media,” “Best Special Project,” and “Community Involvement.”

WILMINGTON, NC – On Thursday, February 4, the Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association (WCFHBA) awarded 101 Mobility with MAX! Awards for “Best Social Media for a Company,” “Best Special Project,” and “Community Involvement” at their annual Marketing Achievement Excellence (MAX!) Awards and Gala at Union Station’s Wendell Daniels Ballroom, on the campus of Cape Fear Community College.

101 Mobility is a leading provider of mobility and accessibility solutions throughout the nation. Based out of Wilmington, North Carolina, the mobility provider has over 110 franchise territories that offer customers a “one stop shop” for products such as stair lifts, ramps, and auto lifts.

“Receiving these awards from the Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association means a lot to our company, as well as to our marketing department,” said Brian Havens, Technical Writer for 101 Mobility. “It gives our team a sense of pride for all of the hard work that was put into these various projects.”

101 Mobility received the award for “Best Social Media for a Company” for the work on their national blog, which features stories and information targeted to senior citizens, caregivers, and the disability community.

The award for “Best Special Project” was received due to a donation story from Justin Murdock, owner of 101 Mobility in Lexington. Looking for marketing growth opportunities in a new territory, Murdock decided to donate a stair lift to a Kentucky entrepreneur in need. With the lift in place, Martha Calie, a young woman living with cerebral palsy, is now able to expand her at-home business, “Shoot for the Moon Animal Treats.”

A “Community Service” plaque was also given to 101 Mobility for their contribution at the annual Codington Parade. Every year, 101 Mobility hand-makes Halloween costumes for Codington Elementary’s special needs class, decorating wheelchairs and strollers in unique designs chosen by the students themselves. Other classes then line the driveway of the school, cheering on the students as they showcase their outfits one-by-one.

The MAX! Awards are presented by the Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association, a nearly 1,000 member-firm trade association that provides services to members which enhance their success and stability. The largest trade association in eastern North Carolina, the Association serves as the voice of the building and development industries and strives to advance professionalism and promote community involvement. The WCFHBA is recognized as a positive influential force for responsible growth by protecting property rights and the privilege of home ownership.
