Epic Halloween Wheelchair Costumes

It’s that time of the year again – Codington parade time! Every year, 101 Mobility® partners with Codington Elementary in Wilmington, North Carolina to pull off a special, one-of-a-kind Halloween parade.

The 4th Annual Halloween Costume Parade took place on October 29 and featured eight superstars from Ms. Bishop’s special needs class. After asking each student what they wanted to be, 101 Mobility® custom-made each costume to fit the child’s wheelchair or walker.

This year, the class had great requests: everything from Lightning McQueen in Cars to even a “Harley dude!”

The entire school – complete with faculty, parents, and spectators – lined the sides of the parking lot to cheer as each child showed off their unique costume one-by-one.

“It is a beautiful experience to see all of the general education students cheering on their friends who have mild to significant disabilities!” said Ms. Bishop.
